A Case of Erythroleukemia Progression to Acute Myeloblastic Leukemia

Abstract

|
Authors reported a case of Di Guglielmo syndrome, developed in a 37-year old Korean
female who admitted to Wallace Memorial Baptisl Hospital with the complaints of
general weakness, dyspnea on exertion and dizziness. Bone marrow examination revealed
marked increase of the erythroid series (M:I ratio 1:1.3) with megaloblastic appearance
and positive results in PAS stain. About 2 months later, bone marrow examination
shows marked neoplastic proliferation of myeloblasts and markedly decreased erythroid
series.
